A slim fit chino in cotton twill with a small amount of elastane, five pockets and belt loops.
The chino sits between jeans and tailored trousers and has to be good enough to replace either. What usually lets it down is a fabric with no give in it.
Why this chino?
- Stretch twill: a small amount of elastane in the weave lets the trouser move at the knee and the seat and return to shape.
- Slim leg: the leg narrows gradually from the thigh to the hem without closing in at the ankle.
- Five pockets: two slanted at the front, one coin pocket and two at the back, both with a button.
- Belt loops: seven loops are set around the waistband, spaced to take a standard width belt.
- Flat waistband: the waistband is stitched down so it lies flat under a jumper or a shirt.
